An exciting opportunity for an Power Electronics to join a Battery Technology start-up, based in the Bay Area! They are already causing disruption in the Battery Tech world by repurposing retired electric vehicle batteries for energy storage purposes! They are searching for a Power Electronics who is ready to dive into the start-up world and work on their exciting product! Think this could be you?


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop power electronics systems for diverse applications, including renewable energy systems, battery management systems, and inverter integrations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assess design concepts to determine the optimal approach for each project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Perform testing and validation of power electronics systems to ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and field service teams as needed.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in power electronics and related technologies.


Specific Technical Responsibilities:

  • Work on intricate applications for our product, covering Grid/MicroGrid, EV Charging, C&I Applications, and Residential solutions.
  • Design Cut Off protection solutions.
  • Develop controller applications.
  • Manage Data Acquisition processes.
  • Support all UL and other certification requirements.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics, or a related focus.
  • 3+ years of experience in power electronics design and development.
  • Strong understanding of Energy Storage Systems, Inverters, and the power grid.
  • Deep knowledge of industry standards such as UL and CE.
  • Familiarity with various battery technologies.
  • Proficient in power systems, inverter design, and operation.
  • Proven track record of collaboration in cross-functional projects.
  • Quick learner and team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work without visa sponsorship.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
  • Possesses a success-oriented mindset.
