Account Leader-Turf Sales


Job Details

The Account Leader is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals, obtaining new customers and maintaining existing accounts while upholding the professional image of Central Irrigation. He/she continuously promotes and sells Central products and services while providing customers with the best service and product assistance possible.


The Account Leader will plan, schedule and organize daily activities to solicit new business, as well as, build solid relationships with our existing customer base. Meeting with customers regularly is an expectation.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Business Development and Account Management: Has a thorough knowledge of the competitive marketplace. Establishes a positive presence in business community. Utilizes all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempts to turn those prospects into customers. Assesses customer needs and engages customers for the purpose of expanding their buying share.

Sales Reporting: Completes the Territory Planning process for each customer & prospect. Generates sales reports each week & submits them to Management. Meets regularly with Management concerning status of sales activities, progress on goals and status of prospective customers.

Operating System and Transacting Orders: Can access and run standard SXe and MITS system reports relating to customer activity and sales results. Routinely produces order quotes from the system and turns them into orders.

Customer Care and Service: Ensures that customers are experiencing a high level of customer service by handling customer questions, ensuring timely order fulfillment, resolving customer concerns, furnishing information to customers about products, and providing customers with solutions.

Product Knowledge and Order Fulfillment: Has a sound understanding of products and services and can communicate special needs to company experts. Knows company pricing and margin structures. Checks on available in stock quantities in order to expedite orders. Monitors backorders and follows-up to ensure timely satisfaction. Participates and attends industry and company product and education training meetings.

Marketing: Has a thorough understanding of all sales/promotional programs and monthly special product offerings. Understands key company separators. Collaborates with Management concerning any special quotes or presentations. Attends required trade shows and company sales events


QUALIFICATIONS Work Experience requirements

  • 5 years experience in the green industry is preferred
  • Be highly organized and self-motivated
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products is required
  • Be a team player that is ready to pitch in on any task needing assistance
