**Description**

The Janitorial and Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for keeping all areas in the working location to an orderly condition. This position will also perform routine work in repair and general maintenance related to incidents (e.g. spills).

**Essential Functions:**

* Orders parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtains them from storerooms. Records maintenance and repair work performed and associated costs.

* Troubleshoots and addresses basic repairs and maintenance including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks.

* Notifies management of need for repairs, and cleaning debris.

* Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors by vacuuming and buffing rugs, washing walls and glass, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing lining of trash cans.

* Cleans and services restrooms with mops and disinfectants

* Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

* Operate a counterbalance forklift up to four high levels.

* Operate a scissor lift.

* Other assigned duties as needed.

**Required Education and Experience:**

* High School Diploma

**Required Skills/Abilities:**

* Ability to understand and follow directions.

* Manual dexterity.

* Basic Mechanical ability/knowledge.

* Ability to lift/move heavy objects.

* Must be able to work both with a team and independently.

**Physical Demands**

* Prolonged periods of standing and bending.

* Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
