**Description**

**POSITION SUMMARY**Responsible for soliciting new retail business from existing or prospective clients, directly handles the clients retail financial needs and also acts in a business development capacity. Sells retail financial services and products.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**

* Actively calls on businesses to solicit new client accounts and identify additional client financial needs (51% of time is spent calling on clients outside of the branch).

* Delivers public presentations of 1st Source products/services individually or as part of a team at clients place of business.

* Manages client relationships through the development of new prospects and providing excellent service to existing clients.

* Represents the bank through community and professional involvement in groups and associations to develop contacts for potential business.

* Fills small business loan needs through proactive business development activities.

* Priority business focus in specialized financial area (i.e. Easy Banking Club (EBC), Retail Business Banker).

* Opens new accounts and cross-sells bank services.

* Responsible for handling small business loan applications and closing loans.

* Answers inquiries, handles service needs and provides consultative advice to clients with new depository accounts.

* Actively participates in team meetings and works with banking center team to drive results in sales goals to meet individual and Banking Center goals.

* Must have valid drivers license.

* Completes all compliance training related to the position.

* Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

**NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**Performs all other duties as assigned.

**EXPERIENCE/SKILLS**

* Four (4) five (5) years of retail banking experience preferred.

* Customer service and sales oriented.

* Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Office essential.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others as appropriate, as well as of company documents and records.

* High degree of attention to details.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

**EDUCATION**Bachelors degree preferred.

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**Ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.
