Quality Engineer Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting the business with compliance to internal, customer and regulatory requirements through management of day-to-day quality assurance activities.


Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities:


Essential Job Functions:

  • Participates in QMS activities as appropriate including MRB, Internal Audits, Corrective Actions, Customer Complaints and Supplier Approval and Development activities.
  • Coordinates with cross functional teams to continually improve processes and products.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer to ensure all customer requirements are met with respect to assigned customer(s) and product lines including the development of processes and documentation as needed.
  • Initiates corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement projects;
  • Works with customers to improve product quality and resolve customer complaints;
  • Communicate with management team regarding quality concerns and improvements necessary to maintain the QMS;
  • Creates or responds to customer required documentation including First Article Inspections and PPAP s and material certification requests.
  • Creates inspection plans and monitors the effectiveness of plans;
  • Assists with Internal and External Audits (i.e. ISO, UL, FDA);
  • Provide status updates on the performance of the QMS through publishing and distributing appropriate KPI s
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office Products.

Understand standard mechanical and electrical measuring techniques including CMM

Understanding of multi-level Bills of Materials and Manufacturing workflows and processes

Understanding of basic Engineering drawings.

Understanding of Electronics and Electrical circuits

Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.


Qualification Requirements: ASQ certification or an associate s degree (bachelor s preferred) in a related field with 3-5+ years of ISO 9000 and 13485 experience, basic knowledge of statistics, and be able to use basic measuring equipment. Should possess good computer skills. Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel are required


Working Environment: Office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
