The Account Manager role is an exciting opportunity within our growing organization which supports our operations team. Logistics Customer Account Manager
The Customer Account Manager performs a customer service role and is responsible for serving as the direct point of contact for active and new customer accounts, handling all day-to-day communication. This includes providing updates on shipments, scheduling appointments, and resolving all potential issues.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Actively monitor high volume email communication to respond to customer and internal team member requests promptly and professionally
- Input all assigned shipments into Logistics Management System (LMS) in a timely manner while ensuring close attention to detail and accuracy
- Continuously update and maintain LMS with new information, notifying all affected parties internally and externally
- Quickly and accurately schedule all appointments for assigned shipments following proper transit procedures and utilizing various scheduling methods (3rd party scheduling portals, via email, phone etc.)
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure successful completion of shipments from start to finish
- Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Create and maintain detailed customer information and contact lists for assigned accounts
- Purposefully contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Skills & Requirements: - Ability to work successfully and professionally in a team-based environment and independently
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build professional relationships via email or telephone
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, & decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and organize information to accurately update the team on current account status and information
- Bachelor's degree preferred
