The Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences (KHS) at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites outstanding applicants for adjunct faculty positions in related disciplines. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) is interested in further developing a pool of highly qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses in undergraduate courses including:

anatomy & physiology

sports nutrition

exercise physiology

strength & conditioning

health/fitness assessment

health/wellness

health science & sport law

sport & exercise psychology

sport/wellness facility & program management

sport organizational behavior

Teaching opportunities vary from semester to semester.

Main Responsibilities of KHS Adjunct Faculty include

P romoting the mission and vision of the KHS Department and TCNJ's SNHS.

Providing/Creating engaging, enthusiastic, and student-centered teaching (in-person &/or virtual) in accordance with TCNJ policies and standards

Establishing a professional classroom atmosphere that encourages mutual respect and civil engagement.

Understanding and conveying the essentials of the course discipline through effective pedagogies

Maintaining high academic standards, while demonstrating equality and fairness.

Working successfully and productively in a team environment.

Offer required office hours to support and enhance student learning

Address student diversity, inclusion, education, and justice needs

Participate in department/college-required meetings &/or training

About the School of Nursing & Health Sciences and Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences:

The TCNJ School of Nursing & Health Sciences is one of seven academic schools within TCNJ and hosts three departments: Nursing, Kinesiology & Health Sciences, and Public Health. All faculty are dedicated to excellence in teaching, active research, and scholarly activity. Within the KHS Department, programs are offered in Kinesiology and Health Science, a KHS-Physical Therapy degree as part of a dual enrollment program with Thomas Jefferson University, a minor in health and wellness, and partnerships across the college to support a minor in sports management/marketing. Required Qualifications:

Degree: Master's degree in related health science areas

Experience/Success: Proof of experience and success in teaching or training capacity in related field/course content areas

Physical capabilities to carry out movement needs associated with exercise science courses

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctorate/Terminal degree in health science or content-related areas
