The Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences (KHS) at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites outstanding applicants for adjunct faculty positions in related disciplines. Main Responsibilities of KHS Adjunct Faculty include P romoting the mission and vision of the KHS Department and TCNJ's SNHS. Providing/Creating engaging, enthusiastic, and student-centered teaching (in-person &/or virtual) in accordance with TCNJ policies and standards Establishing a professional classroom atmosphere that encourages mutual respect and civil engagement. Understanding and conveying the essentials of the course discipline through effective pedagogies Maintaining high academic standards, while demonstrating equality and fairness. Working successfully and productively in a team environment. Offer required office hours to support and enhance student learning Address student diversity, inclusion, education, and justice needs Participate in department/college-required meetings &/or training About the School of Nursing & Health Sciences and Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences: The TCNJ School of Nursing & Health Sciences is one of seven academic schools within TCNJ and hosts three departments: Nursing, Kinesiology & Health Sciences, and Public Health. All faculty are dedicated to excellence in teaching, active research, and scholarly activity. Within the KHS Department, programs are offered in Kinesiology and Health Science, a KHS-Physical Therapy degree as part of a dual enrollment program with Thomas Jefferson University, a minor in health and wellness, and partnerships across the college to support a minor in sports management/marketing.
