Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience preferred.

About the Role

The Equipment Operator II is responsible for moving materials from location to location with the use of equipment to ensure a proper product process flow.

Your Responsibilities

  • Performs more complex duties including loading, moving and stacking materials.
  • Under limited direction will band, shim, load and unload materials.
  • Leads and guides product process flow giving assistance to others.
  • Completes and assists other with assigned documentation and reports. Audits for accuracy. Uses calculations and documents the calculations.
  • Performs more complex maintenance under limited supervision.
  • Follows environmental, health and safety guidelines and reporting.
  • Ensures quality and that process line quality is upkept, and machinery defects are reported.
  • Performs generalized housekeeping in workspace.

Physical Demands

  • Requires minimum of 9-10 hours standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, with a full range of body mechanics/movements
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of stairs and climbing in and out of trucks or working in tight spaces.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)

Working Conditions and Environment

The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals, which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking. Fast paced environment with moving equipment and motorized vehicles running at all times.
