Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager

Brockenbrough is a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm. Brockenbrough provides civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering; architecture; surveying; and subsurface utility designation services to a wide variety of public and private clients. Our team of experienced professionals ensures superior quality control while maintaining conservative fiscal and ethical management at the heart of everything we do.

We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager who is self-motivated and ready to contribute to the future success of Brockenbrough. This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of design projects as well as the opportunity to develop career skills, both technical and managerial in nature.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform civil engineering design, inspection, permitting, and planning services related to site layout, utility routing, sanitary/storm sewer design, grading/earthwork, erosion control, and/or stormwater management systems.
  • Produce Construction Document Packages including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, calculations, permits and basis of design on various project types.
  • Perform construction phase services such as submittal review and approval, respond to contractor requests for information (RFIs), conduct site investigation visits, etc.
  • Perform site assessments and develop detailed reports with recommendations and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with engineers and architects across multiple disciplines as needed.
  • Travel, including some overseas, may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
  • 8-10 years of experience working in an engineering practice related to civil engineering.
  • Advanced experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office products.
