AltaThera Pharmaceuticals, a precision medicine company using innovative science to improve patient care, seeks an Education & Training Manager to develop and implement educational curricula for both customers (electrophysiologists, cardiologists and cardiac nurses) and Company team members. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to work with customers and internal stakeholders to implement a full educational curriculum focused on the Company s product portfolio. This position will work with the Director of Training and Education, the Sr. Director of Commercial Operations and the Chief Medical Officer, as well as the heads of Medical Affairs, Sales and Regulatory & Quality.


This is a fully onsite position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and implement educational curricula for customers and Company team members in coordination with the Director of Training & Education:

Responsible for all aspects of the educational process, including: assessment of learning needs; implementation of effective educational offerings; maintenance of current learning resources; and evaluation of outcomes.

Provide innovative education methods based upon best practices in the training field.

Supervise, maintain and track courses provided via the Company s Learning Management System.

Develop and implement a plan for customer-focused Continuing Medical Education programs supported via grant from AltaThera.

Work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical content specialists in order to develop targeted educational programs.

Coordinate Sales Training classes for new Commercial team members, delivering live, virtual and self-study content.

Develop metrics for the Education & Training program in order to: measure program response and effectiveness; evaluate training competencies; and collect data to meet external audit requirements.

Ensure that Education & Training initiatives are aligned with and support Company goals.

Manage the department budget in order to provide the highest quality set of programs to address both customer and Company needs.


Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to interpret and explain scientific / clinical data.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders and medical professionals.

The successful candidate has strong organizational, project management and communication skills, is resourceful and takes initiative to solve problems.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work with multiple internal and external groups.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Experience with online Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM files is preferred.


Education and Experience:

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in nursing, pharmacy or clinical education. Experience in cardiology or electrophysiology is preferred.

BA / BS with advanced clinical training.


NOTE: This is a fully onsite position in our headquarters at 311 S. Wacker Drive Chicago, IL.


Travel Requirements:

Travel to regional or national conferences.

Up to 15 percent travel.
