**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our busy urology practice. As an integral member of our team, you will work closely with our physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients with urological conditions. From diagnosis and treatment to follow-up care and education, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare.
**Location:** Greensburg and Latrobe, PA
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct patient consultations and medical histories to assess urological concerns.
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Assist in the diagnosis and management of urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate cancer, and erectile dysfunction.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform urodynamic testing, cystoscopies, and other urological procedures as trained and credentialed.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to urology patients, including surgical assistance in the operating room.
- Educate patients and their families about urological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices.
**Requirements:**
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant in PA.
- Experience working in urology or a related field preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest in urology are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in performing urological procedures and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
