Personal Care Aide


Job Details

Seeking a conscientious, thoughtful caretaker with experience tending to older adults. This individual will provide direct care, support and supervision of Adult Wellness Center participants by assisting participants with daily living and personal care. They will actively engage and assistant participants in games, crafts, music and other program activities. This position offers competitive pay, medical, vision, dental, paid time off, 401K and other voluntary benefits. Schedule for this role is 8am-4pm, Monday - Friday.

Position Highlights

  1. Assists in the preparation and execution a wide variety of daily educational, recreational, therapeutic, nutritional and social activities to meet the needs of the participants, under guidance of Program Supervisor
  2. Ensures the safety of participants by continually monitoring the AWC environment and assisting in maintaining sanitary, clutter-free program areas. Reports any and all hazardous conditions and risk issues immediately.
  3. Provides mealtime assistance; including pre-meal handwashing, preparation and distribution of meals and snacks, feeding as needed, and post-meal clean up.
  4. Actively supervises and engages with participants during less structured times of the program day such as during arrival, meal times and departure.
  5. Assists participants with transportation to and from the agency; including providing assistance with onboarding and disembarking from agency vehicles, assisting with securing seat belts and assistive devices, and escorting participants to and from their residence entrances.
  6. Work on other Adhoc projects as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
