Job Overview

Overair is seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our Electrical Engineering team. Qualified candidates will be responsible for electronic and wiring support of advanced test rigs, aircraft, and integration labs. This role requires a wide range of skills from electronic assembly and maintenance to knowledge of avionics and high voltage electrical systems.

The candidate should thrive in a high paced environment and be comfortable with the design, development, and test life cycle of rapid aerospace R&D.? This role will include daily interfacing with engineers and management, so strong communication and inter-personal skills are required.

This will be a temporary 3-month contract position. With the possibility for full-time employment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Rework Printed circuit boards as needed for testing.
  • Assemble fine pitched electronic integrated chips.
  • Follow assembly instructions to assemble circuit boards, connectors and wire harnesses into an enclosure.
  • Perform electrical and wiring assembly, maintenance, and support on complex test rigs, aircraft, and integration lab.
  • Inspect installations and test hardware at regular intervals according to Overair guidelines and aerospace best practices
  • Assist in test operations both from a technical support role as well as participate as part of the test team
  • May help develop documentation for test operations and maintenance of equipment and hardware
  • Maintain and operate ground support equipment
  • Expected to work in accordance with Overair safety and established operating procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent, and two or more years of electronics experience
  • Must possess excellent working knowledge aerospace electronics assembly and maintenance practices.
  • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics
  • Basic computer skills, including time keeping and writing documents
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Ability to support travel for vehicle test support

Desired Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • PCB layout and schematics design experience
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification
  • Part 135 maintenance experience
  • Prior experience and qualifications operating forklifts and other heavy machinery
  • Prior experience with high voltage electrical systems

Work Authorization

The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining Overair. This role will not sponsor or offer assistance with the sponsorship for work authorization in the United States.

Overair expects to pay: $33hr-$43/hr. Your level and the compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
