Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our operations, utilizing Planswift, a leading digital takeoff software, to ensure that our estimates are swift, accurate, and efficient. This position demands a meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed digital takeoffs using Planswift software.
- Analyze and understand project plans, details, and specifications.
- Obtain material vendor quotes and pricing as necessary.
- Refine material lists by providing detailed feedback and working directly with the purchasing department.
- Prepare and submit accurate job estimates to sales management team.
- Work closely with project managers and the construction team to ensure alignment with budget and project specifications.
- Continuously improve estimation processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage and mentor junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably in siding and roofing.
- Proficiency in digital takeoff software, especially Planswift or similar digital takeoff software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
