Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting and providing support to the Director, Finance and Controller in the operations of the Finance Department for OAI.


Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for monthly consolidation packages including review, updates, and transmission to parent company
  • Maintenance and design of reports for consolidation and monthly financial analysis
  • Monthly analysis of subsidiary operating results and comparison to budgeted amounts
  • Preparation of consolidated monthly cash flows and consolidated operational summary
  • Preparation of quarterly consolidation packages for Japan parent company including maintenance of templates and required changes thereto
  • Management of budget and forecast compilation
  • Ensuring financial reporting of subsidiaries is in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards; maintains current knowledge of IFRS and their proper application
  • Communication and enforcement of financial reporting deadlines (monthly/quarterly reports, annual budgets, forecasts, etc.), with subsidiaries
  • Distribution of impairment checklists to subsidiaries and coordination of impairment assessment with valuation specialists when needed
  • Management of annual insurance policy and workers compensation claims, including billings and allocations to subsidiaries
  • Identifying and implementing necessary improvements to policies, procedures, and internal business controls
  • Provide management with the necessary data to analyze U.S. Group consolidated and separate company financial condition
  • Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements for U.S. Group
  • Directs, trains and develops staff as necessary as requested by Director, Finance and Controller
  • Serves as liaison with external and internal auditors
  • Other responsibilities or requests as directed or assigned


This position is primarily located in our San Francisco office. Occasional travel required.

General office environment: Ability to sit for long periods of time and to move about an office.


Qualifications/ Required

Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:

  • Regular contacts with subsidiaries and consultants requires strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and current issues in accounting, experience with IFRS preferred
  • Advanced computer skills with a good understanding and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Power Query and Power BI experience is a plus)
  • High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision


Educational Qualifications

  • BA or BS with emphasis in Accounting/Finance with 7 to 10 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of public accounting experience
  • CPA certification



Pay Range

$150,000 - $175,000

Other elements may be used to determine actual salary such as the candidate s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
