SUMMARY
The person in this position should be an experienced tester that will be responsible for providing testing and system integration for the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) program. Applicable functional areas include proficiency and knowledge of real-time design, development, testing and interfacing of software and computer hardware systems.
This position is onsite at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Habor, NJ.
Education/Experience Required:
- School Diploma/GED with 6 years of professional experience, or
- degree with 4 years of professional experience, or
- degree with 2 years of professional experience (with 30 requisite hours of math, statistics, and computer science).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The person in this position will work specifically with the STARS Software Development & Test Team using C/C++, shell scripting, database concepts (SQL), Red Hat Linux, Redmine, Collaborator, and various homegrown tools. STARS Lab assignments are essential.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required: Technical Tester/Software Developer with knowledge in Red Hat Linux, Microsoft products, and the ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people. All candidates are required to have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Preferred: Technical Tester/Software Developer with knowledge in STARS/NAS Testing.
