Overview:


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to oversee our startup's warehouse operations and manage inventory levels effectively. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in inventory management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to optimize warehouse processes to ensure efficient operations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing costs, and maximizing productivity.


Responsibilities:


1. Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment orders to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and develop strategies to minimize losses.


2. Warehouse Operations:

  • Oversee receiving, storing, and shipping of goods to ensure efficient handling and timely delivery.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage methods to maximize space utilization and streamline operations.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.


3. Inventory Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory management processes and reducing costs.


4. Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technology integration.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve inventory management processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
  • Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM) is a plus.

Pay Range:

  • The salary range for this job is $55,000 - $65,000.
