New OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Six months of related experience OR One year of experience required at the lower level Transportation Tech 4 (TRT053) or position equivalent * Possess working knowledge of and experience in construction practices, policies, and procedures for material acceptance testing and/or material specification requirements.
* A valid Georgia Driver's License is required
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret specifications, plans, contract documents, construction and testing manuals, and other resources.
* Demonstrated ability to compose and prepare specifications, technical reports and general correspondence
* Demonstrated ability to use computers, other technical applications and testing equipment to analyze and communicate information.
* Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations related to production and placement of materials, including percentages and formulas
* Ability to acquire new job knowledge and technical skills and participate in sessions designed to teach, train and develop co-workers in application of these skills.
* Possess the stamina to perform testing and inspection procedures for extended periods of time.
* Ability to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative solutions to practical problems.
