DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Software Developer position requires a deep understanding of software development, scalable frameworks and software interfaces, containerization, communication protocols, synchronous and asynchronous routing. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in app development, using technologies such as: jQuery, JavaScript, Node.js, REST APIs and MS SQL.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain front-end user interfaces using HTML, CSS, jQuery, and other UI technologies.

Deploy and manage applications on Azure cloud hosting infrastructure.

Customize and integrate with our Acumatica ERP system.

Write clean, efficient code in JavaScript and Node.js.

Develop and maintain database schemas and queries using MS SQL.

Manage source code using Git and GitHub.

Participate in DevOps practices to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration.

Communicate with Stakeholders and Users to understand and meet business needs.

Perform various other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to live the ICOMPEL Values.

Strong database skills, including experience with MS SQL.

Experience with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is advantageous.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 6 years Computer Science or Software Engineering Experience

Associates Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4 years Software Development Experience

~OR~

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2 years Software Development Experience.

Experience in front-end UI development with a strong portfolio of web applications.

Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js for server-side development.

Experience with Azure cloud hosting services and infrastructure.

Familiarity with Acumatica ERP or other enterprise-level ERP systems is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Work in an office setting.

Safely perform work with appropriate safety gear when needed.

May require work outside normal business hours.

May require travel to other locations.
