Digital Marketing Optimization Specialist

Job Description:

This position supports the Graduate & Online department's lead generation and growth objectives by strategically optimizing our digital marketing resources and campaigns, both paid and organic (SEO) on a variety of digital media platforms following established brand guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Day-to-day optimization of paid digital advertising campaigns (search, display, video, etc.), using analytics tools and testing to increase lead generation quality and conversions.
  2. Audit and optimize web assets (SEO) to increase organic lead generation, specifically landing pages and web pages specific to our department.
  3. Research, analyze, and apply best practices for digital marketing optimization, including examination of keywords, performance data and competitor research.
  4. Contribute creative ideas, both content and technical, for paid and organic social media that will produce the desired result.
  5. Work with marketing team and departmental team members to achieve departmental objectives, ranging from lead generation to retention through graduation.
  6. Engage in professional development opportunities to continue building a skillset to strengthen job performance and support career aspirations.
  7. Participate in traditional marketing activities as needed.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  1. Working knowledge of optimization for paid search/ad campaigns in Google, Facebook, LinkedIn
  2. Working knowledge of SEO
  3. Ability to interpret analytics data and determine next steps
  4. Good writing skills

Additional/ Preferred qualifications:
  1. Intermediate level skills in SEO and digital ad optimization (approx. 1.5 - 2 years experience)
  2. Ability to research and understand different audiences
  3. Strong creative problem-solving skills
  4. Bachelor's degree in related field
