As the Manager of Engineering/Maintenance, you'll have the opportunity to lead and guide our maintenance and plant engineering department, ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and supporting our hospital's mission and vision.

Leadership and Technical Expertise:

  • Provide direction and guidance for daily operations, focusing on quality, safety, and fiscal stewardship.
  • Assist in budget development and resource utilization to ensure timely completion of work.

Team Development and Oversight:

  • Oversee staff orientation, competency assessment, skills training, and performance improvement.
  • Establish effective communication channels with staff, peers, and key stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance and Maintenance:

  • Monitor contracts, expenditures, and compliance with regulatory codes.
  • Oversee Joint Commission Life Safety inspections and Environment of Care requirements.

Facility Operations and Maintenance:

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including CMMS management.
  • Ensure safe and proper operation of utility systems and equipment, overseeing repairs and replacements.


Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree and three years of healthcare experience OR five years of Facilities Engineering Department management experience.
  • Preferred CHFM certification.
  • Must have a valid Maryland driver's license.
