Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry!Job DescriptionOur Mechanical Assembler Class 2 is tasked with the assembly and quality assurance of airport ground support equipment, ensuring each piece meets company and safety standards. Candidates must be able to follow complex assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematic drawings to construct or repair equipment accurately. This position requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to use various hand and power tools proficiently. Team collaboration is vital, as is the ability to identify and resolve issues during the assembly process to maintain productivity and quality standards.WHAT IT S LIKE TO WORK AS AN MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER CLASS 2You like working as a team, toward a common goalInterpret complex assembly blueprints and schematic diagrams to assemble parts and systemsUse precision tools to accurately measure and fit components ensuring tight tolerances are metPerform mechanical assembly tasks including the use of drills, taps, and other machining toolsConnect electrical wiring and electronic components as per specifications using soldering and crimping techniquesInstall hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring all connections are secure and leak-freeConduct routine tests and inspections on subassemblies to ensure functionality and compliance with technical standardsTroubleshoot and resolve assembly issues by adjusting or reworking non-conforming partsDocument assembly processes and results, maintaining detailed records of work performedFollow established safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all timesFollow strict adherence to safety procedures and protocols to prevent injury or equipment damageYou have very strong customer service skillsYou have a great attention to detailAvailable to work, days, nights, weekends and holidaysYou enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasksLike to build long term relationships with your customersAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsPhysical activity may include:Stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to lift 70 pounds or moreBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environmentClose vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)QualificationsMinimum age of 18 years old2 years manufacturing and or assembly experienceAbility to pass a drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)The successful PrimeFlight Aviation Services team member brings their A game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety!PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
