Doherty Career Solutions is currently partnering with a local premier manufacturing company in the Greater St. Cloud, MN area as they search for a Manufacturing Manager to join the thriving team. As the Manufacturing Manager you will manage, direct, and coordinate activities of the Company s Production department and it s corresponding functions, utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures to ensure production goals are met. This position offers a competitive salary of $100,000-130,000 plus great benefits, a solid bonus plan and opportunity to grow.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Set Production goals based on Company s expectations
  • Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities in keeping with effective operations and cost factors to meet company expectations
  • Coordinate production activities to obtain optimum production
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and development of assigned employees
  • Monitors and evaluates employee performance, initiates personnel action
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems
  • Establishes effective communication, cooperation, and information flow with Production departments in the other plants
  • Review and analyze reports to determine root cause of problems that hinder plant efficiencies & ensure production quality issues are resolved
  • Develops departmental budget ensure departmental spending is within budgeted levels
  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to maintain a safe working environment, eliminate production bottlenecks, and improve product quality
  • Consults with support groups relative to improving workplace safety, production efficiencies and quality of product
  • Consults with the Bargaining Unit and Human Resources to resolve or effect settlement of labor issues and/or grievances
  • Specify, develop, and manage the implementation of capital projects that support the manufacturing process
  • Lead the quality improvement process in production through employee accountability and self-inspection


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Post-secondary education; or five-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/operations leadership role
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Superior interpersonal, problem solving and communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Goal orientated, ability to multi-task, and excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Adequate computer knowledge and skills
