Department: Controller

Reporting structure: Reports to VP of Finance

Job title and brief description: The Controller will support the Sr. Controller of Setco and help oversee all financial reporting and analysis of our domestic and international operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information. This position is responsible for developing and managing solid internal controls in accordance with company procedures and best practices. Additionally, this position will assist with the annual budgeting process and assist with managing the global finance managers in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA designation preferred.
  • 10-years of prior experience in financial reporting and/or management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous public accounting and manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products; experience with Epicor and One Stream preferred.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.


Primary tasks:

  • Accurate and timely monthly financial reporting
    • Analysis to improve operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
  • Financial analysis and profit assessment
    • Identify cost saving opportunities within the business and assist in implementation.
    • Report and effectively communicate financial metrics.
  • Lead and develop global accounting and finance team.
  • Year-end audit preparation.
  • Support preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts.
  • Support preparation and financial analysis as requested by senior management.
  • Developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Focuses on continuous process improvements in department and throughout the company.
  • Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
  • Develop improved reporting metrics and processes along with enhancing efficiencies within the finance organization.
