Unarmed Security Officer - City of Orlando

Reporting to: Security Supervisor

Job Scope/Overview

Our unarmed Security Officers are responsible for day-to-day security screening of garage properties

Job Description

Minimum Start $16.00/hour

After 60-Days: FT Employees Eligible for Health Benefits (medical, dental and vision)

Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through garage locations.
Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.
Perform physical searches of property, and other identification review as needed.
Additional security related duties to ensure safety to the public.

Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must possess a valid Florida Class-D Security License.
Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references.
Must possess valid state-issued Driver's License or a valid state-issued I.D. card.
Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work and interact with the public.
Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required.

Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations.
Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and down stairs.
Ability to protect yourself or others in the event of a physical disturbance.
Must be comfortable with conditions that range from Summer Heat to Winter Conditions
Open availability without restraints due to other part time jobs, etc.
