Job Description **Working with Homeless Young People**

**Roundabout is doing everything it can to ensure the safety of the young people we support and its staff during Covid-19 pandemic. We are mainly working remotely with some limited contact with young people whilst maintaining social distancing and at all times the health & safety of all our young people and staff is paramount. We are constantly reviewing our processes against government guidance.**

**In line with Lockdown restrictions and social distancing we will be conducting the interviews and some of the induction process for this post via the Zoom application and individual video calls.**

Roundabout is one of the leading charities in Sheffield, working with young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness this is an exciting opportunity to work in a young persons residential hostel and make a positive difference to young peoples lives.

**TRAINEE RESIDENTIAL HOSTEL PROJECT WORKER TRPW 04.21**

**Salary: 18,000 per annum - 37 hours per week, on a rota basis**

We are seeking to appoint a trainee to join a highly motivated team which provides a 24 hour accommodation based service to vulnerable young people aged 16-21 years.

If you lack experience in a particular area, this Trainee position could be an ideal opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge working in a young persons housing support service. Being an effective communicator and having the ability to understand youth homelessness and the difficulties they may be faced with in their lives is key to this role. You may have transferable skills that will help you in the Trainee Residential Support Worker role, which has the potential to help you in your career development.

We are looking for someone who can perform their work with passion and enthusiasm and is able to engage with people at all levels.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude and a can do approach even in demanding situations. They will have outstanding good work ethics and have a willingness to learn and share good values such as honesty, integrity, reliability, team working, collaboration and co-operation and who is willing to go that extra mile.
