Rotair Aerospace Corporation, a local aircraft parts manufacturing business has an open position for a Commercial Salesperson working in the office at our location in Bridgeport, CT.
We are looking for a self-motivated salesperson with office experience that has good communication and negotiating skills in dealing with customers both on the phone and via email.
Ideal candidate will understand the importance of customer service and will respond quickly to customer inquiries and questions. The position includes fostering new and existing customers, generating new sales leads, and potential new product lines. Starting salary is $19.00 - $22.00 with increases commensurate with applicants success in generating sales. Position will be part of our Commercial Sales Team. Sales experience in aerospace or a technical product is a plus as well as the ability to read technical drawings.
This is a crucial role as the Helicopter Operators we support are on call for wildfires, search and rescue, government agencies and other critical operations. We are looking for highly motivated individuals that have experience working in a team office environment. This includes actively participating in team meetings, understanding our customers, whether commercial or military and maintaining individual sales goals.
Experience with data entry, Microsoft 365 suite, and detail orientation are required as well as previous experience working in an office environment.
Responsibilities may include some administrative tasks supporting the sales department and the manager. Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills are required for communications with our customers. Must be able to multitask, maintain organization, be very reliable as well as able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. Candidates will also be subject to our internal pre-employment competency assessments, drug and background testing.
This is a full-time, in-office position. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 p.m. with overtime as needed.
The starting salary range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, commensurate with Aerospace, Sales and office experience.
