PURVIS Systems is seeking an experienced Hardware Production Manager to lead the sourcing and production of hardware (electronic and mechanical) for our Fire Station Alerting System (FSAS) business unit.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

    • Lead a staff of electronic technicians responsible for fabrication, assembly and testing of all electronic enclosures associated with the PURVIS Fire Station Alerting System.
    • Organize production workflows and assign tasks as necessary to meet specifications, project deadlines and budgets.
    • Work collaboratively with FSAS project, customer support, and engineering teams to ensure customer needs and project deadlines are met.
    • Partner with software and engineering teams on the design and operational requirements for all FSAS sub-systems.
    • Review all incoming projects for required material needs.
    • Generate and distribute production status reports on all ongoing projects for management and project managers.
    • Order, track and ship all materials needed for FSAS projects.
    • Maintain and enhance hardware documentation, and develop new documentation as needed.
    • Configuration and inventory management for all on-site and customer site hardware. Ensure records are maintained and accessible to management team, project managers, finance, and others as needed.
    • Investigate and identify new hardware options that may enhance the FSAS.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with product vendors to stay abreast of new products/materials as well as availability and pricing of existing products/materials.
    • Provide technical assistance to customers and PURVIS support organization as needed.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with installation and maintenance sub-contractors and customers for the maintenance of onsite spares pools.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with all contract manufacturers that assemble FSAS enclosures. Ensure all generated design packages are received, stored, and accessible to FSAS team members as needed. Ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
    • Work with outside vendors for any design requirements and ensure all generated design packages are received and stored.
    • Generate/review outgoing shipment documentation.
    • Develop and maintain production related documents such as BOMs, wire tables and mechanical drawings.
    • Responsible for all incoming RMAs, including the review, repair and return to the customer as required.
    • Provide annual hardware device pricing updates to account management for various back-drop contracts.


Other responsibilities may include:
    • Support installation projects by generating and reviewing hardware floor plans and installation documentation and providing assistance to installation technicians.
    • Support system installation, testing and cutover activities.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Six or more years of experience in an electronics production or product-management role
    • Experience in sourcing and managing product lifecycles of electronic and mechanical equipment.
    • Emphasis on meeting deadlines and budgets.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Experience building strong relationships with vendors and managing vendors to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Experience in negotiating with multiple vendors to meet specified budget.
    • Ability to manage a team efficiently and effectively.
    • Associate's degree (or equivalent) in manufacturing, electronics or operations.
    • Proficiency with PC applications, especially the MS Office suite.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
