The Office of Practice is seeking applications for a Patient Care Representative. This position is temporary for up to 30 hours per week. Insurance benefits will be offered following the guidelines outlined in the Affordable Care Act.

The Patient Care Representative answers incoming calls, determines the purpose of callers, takes messages and delivers them electronically, or transfers call to appropriate personnel. This positions also

* Maintains and builds provider schedules and enters appointments into a computerized scheduler accurately.

* Provides exemplary customer service.

* Treats patients and coworkers with courtesy and discretion.

* Completes appointment reminder calls.

* Receives, sorts, and routes mail.

* Retrieves and routes incoming faxes.

* Completes insurance verification and eligibility requests.

* Scans documents and imports them into the electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Minimum of 1 year of office/clerical, customer service, or call center experience. (may consider relevant part-time and/or student worker experience).
