Senior Commercial Liability Claims Specialist

Job Details

Our client is seeking to add a Senior Commercial Liability Claims Specialist to their Maryland operations. This person will be responsible for handling moderate to complex Commercial Auto and General Liability claims including subrogation files throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Responsibilities of this position include handling new losses, conducting a proper investigation, setting reserves, and settling losses.

• Handle moderate to complex Commercial Auto and General Liability losses, including litigated files.
• Work proactively towards claims resolution with defense counsel and clients, while adhering to audit requirements and resolving claims in a timely manner.
• Make timely claims payments and adjustments; communicate claim action/processing with claimant and client.
• Prepare detailed reports, review and prepare responsive correspondence to achieve settlement.
• Provide comprehensive, complete thorough analysis of coverage determination.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Commercial Auto and/or General Liability claims experience.
• Must have Insurance Carrier or TPA claims experience.
• Must be well versed in handling Maryland Commercial Liability claims.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the capability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and handle litigations and negotiations.

Salary/Benefits:

• $78,000 to $90,000 annual salary (depending on experience)
