CAD Technician - Civil

Job Description:

Delivering various infrastructure projects, with a focus on:

• Interstate, highway, and freeway developments
• Urban street enhancements
• Diverse intersection designs, including roundabouts
• Interchange layout optimization
• Hydrological considerations

Responsibilities:

• Generate precise drawings in alignment with project plans
• Adhere to client, company, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and standards
• Create and verify road geometry and essential plan details
• Implement red-line corrections and mark-ups
• Produce drafts and comprehensive drawings for road construction and miscellaneous undertakings
• Execute tasks accurately, promptly, and within designated timelines
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior and senior technicians
• Produce plan sheets from engineering computations and review them with the supervisor

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
• Extensive experience in structural detailing, including rebar, structural steel, and post-tension techniques
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation, GeoPak design and drafting software, as well as Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to work independently and collaborate efficiently within diverse project teams
• Aptitude for interpreting construction and engineering documents
• Strong time management abilities to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Attentiveness to detail

Enjoy a unique work schedule of Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm, and Fridays 8am-12pm to start every weekend early. Company provided lunch every other Friday from varying local restaurants!
