How You Will Contribute

The Milieu Supervisor manages all aspects of recovery care specialist duties. Responsible for all associated trainings (lead/schedule) for recovery care specialist positions at adult facilities.



Essential Responsibilities

  • Schedule all recovery care specialists (RCS) at adult and adolescent facilities.
  • Train RCS on all position duties
  • Set up training for RCS on items outside of Milieu Supervisor s Scope (H.R./nursing/etc.)
  • Work with H.R. on any re-training/disciplinary items for RCS
  • Weekly supervision meetings with new hire RCs during training period
  • Responsible for 90 day and yearly reviews of RCS
  • Coordinate training design and execution with H.R.
  • Attend weekly client staffing
  • Attend program/staffing meeting
  • Attend/participate in meetings group
  • Lead/co-lead all RCS meetings
  • Encourage clients during meals and groups
  • Attend all required monthly/weekly staff meetings at adult and adolescent facilities.
  • Proper use/documentation in electronic medical records
  • Understand/ follow Aster Springs policies/procedures and employee handbook
  • Ability to handle high intensity situations and intervene when appropriate
  • Communicate client info in Comm Log
  • Appropriate level of understanding of eating disorders
  • Able to follow emergency intervention self-harm policy
  • Understand/follow all emergency policies and procedures
  • Ensure all RCS read communication log before/during each shift
  • Ensure all RCS chart in client s chart each shift
  • Verify RCS completing cleaning log and attending groups as expected
  • Complete weekly/monthly communication newsletter to RCS staff
  • Ability to work on floor as member of RCS staff as needed
  • Work on all shifts at least once per month to witness all staff members during shifts
  • Collaborate/Coordinate with H.R. to interview/hire new RCS employees
  • Maintain active CPR/1st Aid certification
  • Develop needed trainings for RCS position
  • Proper documentation in client s chart
  • Follow transportation policy/vehicle log
  • Understand/follow all on-call schedules
  • Understand/follow infection control policy
  • Follow proper communication guidelines for staff members, vendors, clients, and supervisor
  • Follow all HIPAA and Privacy rules/expectations
  • Able to fill RC shift in absence of staff
  • Communicate items from weekly staff meetings to RCS team members
  • Ensure all RCS staff is meeting training requirements




What We're Seeking

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree or higher preferred
  • 2 or more years of management experience preferred
  • Active First aid, CPR certification
  • Valid Driver s License
