Operations Manager


Job Details

The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of inventory management and warehouse operations to ensure efficient utilization of space, accurate inventory counts, and timely order fulfillment. This role involves managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse layout and processes, and leading a team of warehouse staff to achieve organizational goals and objectives. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple warehouses.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:
  2. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  3. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile inventory discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  4. Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure inventory is received, transferred, and stored in a proper manner.
  5. Utilize inventory management software and systems to track inventory movement, forecast demand, and generate inventory reports.
  6. Oversee the inventory returns process to ensure accuracy and minimize loss.
  7. Warehouse Operations:
  8. Oversee all company warehouses and their operations
  9. Plan and coordinate warehouse layout and storage configurations to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
  10. Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing inventory.
  11. Implement best practices for material handling, picking, packing, and shipping to minimize errors and improve order accuracy.
  12. Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure working environment for warehouse staff.
  13. Optimize workflow processes and labor allocation to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  14. Team Leadership and Development:
  15. Hire, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse managers, associates, supervisors, and forklift operators.
  16. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to warehouse managers to support their professional growth and development.
  17. Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  18. Set performance goals and objectives for warehouse staff and conduct regular performance evaluations to assess individual and team performance.
  19. Logistics and Customer Relations:
  20. Liaise with logistics partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, resolve delivery issues, and negotiate favorable terms.
  21. Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address customer inquiries, resolve order discrepancies, and ensure customer satisfaction.
