**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a results-driven, innovative and passionate leader to serve in the role of Assistant Inventory Manager for Brilliant Earth within our Operations team. Our Operations team is dedicated to delivering excellence from the time a customer places an order to the moment a customer opens their package. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory activities at our Brilliant Earth locations as well as our manufacturing partners. As an Assistant Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, maintaining inventory accuracy in our systems, executing operational processes and continuously implementing impactful improvements to increase productivity, accuracy and reduce costs. You will collaborate with external partners, assist in managing an internal team and partner with every department within the company. The primary objectives of this position are to maximize efficiency, while delivering highly accurate information, both of which are critical to Brilliant Earths success.

**What youll do:**

* Guide day to day team performance, empowering the team and facilitating problem-solving.

* Coordinate and allocate tasks and resources to ensure general operations run smoothly, including the use of forecasts to capacity plan the teams workload and implement real time adjustments as needed.

* Identify opportunities to build and continuously improve upon best practices, with a focus on process and system automation, cost effectiveness, quality, efficiency and accuracy.

* Manage and guide professional development of team, including continued training opportunities and education of key inventory metrics.

* Recruit, hire and grow team over time to meet company objectives.

* Ensure product supply chain is well developed and maintained to ensure a superior customer experience, timeliness, and a high level of efficiency.

* Maintain product security controls and ensure inventory accuracy is tracked throughout the product flow.

* Lead by example and promote a positive, team-oriented and high-energy culture

**Specific qualifications include:**

* Experience with inventory coordination and control in a product, retail, or ecommerce company

* Experience leading or managing teams, including setting and achieving goals

* Robust technical / computer skills, including working knowledge of ERP/inventory systems (NetSuite a plus)

* Intermediate excel skills (regular use of lookups, pivot tables and other functions to assist in regular inventory analysis).

* Understanding of materiality from a business and accounting perspective, driving good decision making and continuous improvement of processes.

* Experience defining and reporting on key performance metrics

* Team player with an ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team culture

* Interest in socially and environmentally responsible organizations and products.

* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners

* Understanding and acceptance of diversity, inclusion and belonging principles

* BA degree or equivalent, preferred
