Facility & Maintenance Manager


Job Details

Responsible for keeping buildings and equipment owned or operated by IMPOWER properly maintained, clean and safe. Supervises contractors and and strategic responsibilities including capital projects, asset management and long-term efficiency, and managing budgets.

The starting pay for this position is $24.04 per hour with credit given for relative education and experience above what is required for the position up to $27.40 per hour. Annualized $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 for Full-Time.

  • Oversees all aspects of facility upkeep to including routine preventative maintenance to keep facilities in safe and operable condition
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards to include assess management and expected life-span
  • Inspect buildings regularly to determine the need for repairs and renovations; submit monthly facility report
  • Serve as lead on capital projects including support with new construction, permitting, etc.
  • Coordinate and oversee facility inspections including fire, health department, etc.
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of of interior and exterior areas
  • Ensures grounds are clean and safe to including landscaping, parking lots, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments
  • Negotiates contracts and secures and manages vendors used for facility upkeep
  • Makes repairs and improvements on buildings, vehicles and equipment; coordinating and managing contractors as necessary
  • Maintain maintenance log and complete reports on repairs, safety, and other occurrences
  • Organizes cleaning, painting and maintenance projects for volunteers and clients, and oversees their participation.
  • Maintains inventory of maintenance, cleaning and janitorial supplies and follows established procedures in the ordering and purchase of needed materials.
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions; respond as needed in emergencies
  • Ensures tools are secured and accounted for daily.
  • Reports all emergency/safety issues to supervisor immediately and follows through with repairs within 24 hours.
  • Maintain client files with all required case management documentation and updated client information.
  • Complete required training courses within designated time frame.
  • Abide by ethics, policies and procedures and professional standards of IMPOWER.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least two years of experience in custodial or related work.
  • Successful background screenings through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, State and County
  • Valid drivers license and auto insurance, and successful motor vehicle driving record background check
  • Negative result from a multi panel drug screen
