ROLE OVERVIEW


The Head of Localization Production role sits within our International Marketing Services department reporting to the CEO. This role will manage our client localization teams overseeing LAT AM & APAC regions and will work closely with the localization team in London to service several major studio marketing, localization, and distribution teams. This is a senior role that liaises with clients, provides leadership to the team, and ensures that the department runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Leading a team of Account Directors & Managers to ensure materials are produced to a high standard and on time
  • Providing guidance and leadership to the Account Directors to support them in managing their teams
  • Work closely with departmental leads to ensure operational efficiencies and successful delivery of client content on time and budget
  • Serving as the escalation point for any production/client questions or issues
  • Overseeing the production of materials with in-house graphic designers, audio mixers, and online editors to deliver international localized marketing materials across a range of theatrical, broadcast, online, and social outlets
  • Collaborating with the UK office to ensure all communication across all jobs is efficient and correct and PPC delivers a seamless 24-hour production environment providing a time and cost-efficient solution for our clients
  • Overseeing the mastering teams to produce and deliver final materials on time and on budget
  • Dealing directly with international territory offices regarding their requirements and studio head offices regarding campaign timelines and budgets
  • Overseeing data management, quality control, and compliance services
  • Building relationships with marketing and operations personnel within the territories and studio head offices
  • Collaborating with translators and dubbing studio partners to obtain translations and audio files
  • Helping to assess and triage competing deadlines across all territory requests in a given day/week, working with scheduling and the different departments to ensure high-priority items are always first up
  • Overseeing project management processes and working closely with key stakeholders to provide an efficient production workflow
  • Lead training and mentoring new hires on the localization team


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • 5+ years of experience in a management position
  • Proven ability to effectively build, organize, lead, and mentor a team
  • Excellent knowledge of global marketing localization requirements and workflows
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • A track record of designing processes from the ground up to support changing business needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to forge good client relationships at all levels and approach new business opportunities with a positive knowledgeable attitude
  • Agility and ability to quickly pivot between changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to manage workflows in multiple locations across multiple time zones
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to learn and process information quickly


This position is based in our LA head office and the salary rate for this role is between $120,000 to $140,000 per annum. Actual amounts will vary based on the candidates skills, experience, and performance. Please note that this is an exempt position.
