The **Banquet Manager** is responsible for the execution of catered events which includes coordinating with the Sales and Culinary teams to ensure all guest expectations are meet and exceeded. Also responsible for the monitoring and supervision of Banquet staff for private and special events.

**Essential Responsibilities**

* Oversees Banquet Captains, Stewards, Bartenders and Servers during events

* Create Banquet packets for staff highlighting event timeline, equipment needs, job responsibilities and any special requests or dietary restrictions

* Coordinates with the Culinary team on the timing and production of all events

* Communicates with Sales Team to determine proper floor plans, meeting notes and any special requests or needs prior to each function

* Provide continuous communication with client for the duration of the event and check with the client at the end of the event to ensure all expectations were meet and exceeded

* Works with Senior Banquet Manager to order special beverage requests or equipment rentals needed for the execution of the event

* Oversees proper presentation, preparation and service needs in conjunction with Culinary and Sales Teams to ensure the highest standards are met

* Gracefully handle any guest issues that arise during an event and follow proper protocol for any alcohol related incidents

* Assists with labor and wage costs controls

* Assists in monitoring all inventories, stock supply orders and service equipment needs

* Contribute to the development of continuous staff education

* Conducts performance reviews for part-time staff

* Assist with the yearly review and revisions of Banquet Department policy and procedural manuals for part-time staff

* Performs other projects as assigned

**Your Qualifications**

* Four or more years of banquet/catering experience required

* High school diploma or GED, Bachelors degree preferred
