ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Chief Analytics & Technology Officer, the Principal Data Scientist role will be responsible for building best-in-class Data science & AI capabilities to advance OneOme s product and program offerings. This includes, but not limited to building predictive and advanced algorithms for medication risk management, behavioral change and program outreach optimization using latest algorithms, development & testing methods and modern cloud-based automation and deployment pipelines. Responsibilities also include development of next gen visualization capabilities. The ideal candidate will have healthcare data/AI experience and background in genomics and real-world evidence data studies. Candidate must have a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to work hard and have fun.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build AI/ML and advanced analytics capabilities within OneOme product suite.
  • Manage analytics deliverables and partner with vendor resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Perform descriptive and advanced statistical analyses using large patient and/or claims databases in support of data mining, predictive modeling, and health outcomes projects.
  • Build data science pipeline and platform capabilities for large-scale real-world evidence (RWE) studies and health economic analyses.
  • Develop sophisticated data visualization capabilities to convey insights related to population intervention programs and/or risk and health of patients on multiple medications.
  • Help develop project plans, execute deliverables within agreed upon timeframes, manage deadlines, communicate progress and make recommendations to address issues.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers team on various capability deployments

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or similar areas of academic training is required.
  • Solid foundation in applied mathematics, such as: statistics, linear algebra, optimization.
  • 7+ years of experience building machine learning and data science applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in Python programming language.
  • 3+ years of SQL programming experience.
  • 2+ year experience implementing AI/ML solutions in a cloud-based environment is required (Azure, AWS preferred).
  • 1+ years experience implementing and fine tuning LLMs strong preferred
  • 3 years experience with Health-care payer claims data is strongly preferred
  • Experience in health economics and/or outcomes research that focuses on calculating total cost of care and savings related to population health interventions is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, etc is preferred.
  • Comfortable with the command line/Unix systems.
  • Experience with genomics strongly preferred

SCHEDULE AND HOURS

This position requires the ability to work Monday Friday during core business hours.
