Associate Attorney Civil Defense

Gfeller Laurie LLP, a dynamic and growing litigation boutique law firm with a national practice, seeks confident and ambitious associate attorneys with 3-6 years of civil defense litigation experience for the firm s Connecticut (West Hartford), New York (Tarrytown and Manhattan) and New Jersey (Princeton) offices. Successful candidates will assist in defending clients in a wide range of civil defense litigation matters from complex commercial disputes to personal injury claims. Candidates must have a law degree from an accredited law school to be considered for these positions.
Our associate attorneys within this practice are highly valued contributors, responsible for day-to-day case management, reporting to clients, handling written discovery, attending depositions, court appearances, trial preparation and trials. Strong analytical, organizational, research and writing skills, as well as a genuine interest in developing sophisticated experience and skills in civil defense litigation contexts, are crucial. Associate attorneys will work closely with the firm s civil litigation partners and therefore, successful candidates must be well-versed in all aspects of their state s applicable practice rules and procedures.
