**Summary**

In the role of Foodservice Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing, mentor and lead the Foodservice Sales Team to year after year sales growth with new and existing accounts. In addition, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of sales, profitability, and budget, including the day-to-day activities of the sales staff, and managing all key accounts.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

* Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.

* Build and foster teamwork at all times using learned skills and company-support performance management tools and training and development programs.

* Design and implement a strategic account management process

* Develop and implement business processes to improve the results of the sales team.

* Monitor, manage and track sales, margins, expenses, and overall sales results for the branch.

* Supervise and direct sales team to ensure individual and department goals are met.

* Manage budgeted sales and gross profit budgets.

* Monitor and enforce policies, procedures, and service standards for the department, meet company-defined standards, and maximize customer satisfaction.

* Manage customer base to achieve targeted D & F percentages.

* Support D & F item managing to attain branch targets.

* Understand and take advantage of competitors strengths and weaknesses.

* Deliver product and sales presentations to customers, suppliers, and staff.

* Handle key customer calls relating to accounts, orders, complaints, new business, etc.

* Inform executive staff of sales trends within their own region.

* Maintain detailed knowledge and educate the sales staff on the company's products and promotions.

* Train sales staff, as needed.

* Attend sales and managers meetings and training programs.

* Coordinate with customers, operations, outside sales, and sales representatives.

* Oversee and strategize accounts with individual recruiters.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

Directly supervises sales team members and carries out supervisory responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws.

**Qualifications**

* A minimum of three years in the food industry is required.

* A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required.

* A minimum of three years of experience directly managing a sales team is required.

* Experience leading specialty meat and seafood sales force is preferred.

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the related field is preferred.

* A valid drivers license is required.

**Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required**

* Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

* Strong Computer skills in MS Office Suite.

* Demonstrate ability to manage and develop teams and execute sales programs.

* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other organization team members.

* Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

* Display ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
