Job Overview:
Mama Shelter Los Angeles is seeking an enthusiastic and personable Restaurant Host to join our team. As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for them. You will be responsible for greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, managing reservations, and maintaining the appearance of the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant and provide them with menus
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable
- Manage reservations and maintain an accurate record of bookings
- Manage the flow of traffic throughout multiple outlets
- Communicate with the kitchen and servers to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant, including tables, chairs, and decorations
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries and requests
- Provide guests with information about the hotel, restaurants & bars, including menus, specials, and events
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications:- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
