Quality Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our team! We are a leading metal extrusion company specializing in aluminum extrusion. The Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes. This role requires a professional with a strong background in quality management, manufacturing, and specifically, expertise in aluminum extrusion. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in quality, 4 years in management, and 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system that meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize production processes.
- Inspection and Testing: Oversee product inspections and testing procedures to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Develop and implement testing protocols as necessary.
- Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality control procedures, guidelines, and metrics to monitor the manufacturing process and product quality throughout the production cycle.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor quality control and production personnel to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, procedures, and records. Preferably, the candidate should have experience in writing or editing a quality management systems manual.
- Audit and Compliance: Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality management.
- At least 4 years of experience in a management role.
- 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with a preference for experience in aluminum extrusion.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations in the metal extrusion industry.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) is a plus.
