Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Energy Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing energy efficiency strategies, analyzing energy data, and designing energy systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in energy engineering, with experience in the design and implementation of energy-saving measures. Responsibilities:

HES is seeking an on-site energy manager position for several sites to begin the energy management process for a Brooklyn-based client.

Tasks to be performed by hire:

  • Identify the site energy reduction opportunities for the cost-shared 12-month engagement, with focus on reducing 10% energy consumed on-site (electric and fuel).
  • Utility Data Tracking
  • Local Law Compliance and Tracking
  • Accessing Incentives and Rebates for Energy Improvement Projects
  • Initiate and develop an energy management plan that is a living document updated throughout the engagement and works towards the facility-provided energy goal.
  • Develop and/or maintain an energy tracking and monitoring system.
  • Develop and/or maintain a cross-functional energy team and hold monthly meetings.
  • Develop a strategy for energy savings Measurement & Verification at a corporate level
  • Conduct walkthrough audits and reports that identify savings opportunities (CapEx, O&M, etc) for further investigation; provide reports to NYSERDA and the client for review and comment.
  • Review maintenance operational schedules and procedures to identify operational savings opportunities and develop preventative maintenance plans.
  • Develop Quarterly Savings Reporting with a focus on capital and operational changes.
  • Project management check-ins
  • Development of marketing materials highlighting and promoting projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • AEE CEM Certification
  • Proven experience in facility energy management preferably in healthcare facilities
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures and calculations
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
