Responsibilities / Tasks

We seek an HSE Manager to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across specific GEA North America Service sites. This role demands proactive risk identification and mitigation, regulatoryadherence, and fostering a culture of safety excellence organization-wide. The ideal candidate should be driven by our mission and excel in:

  • Collaborating with divisional heads and local site management to develop and execute a strategic vision for a top-tier QHSE program.
  • Engaging with employees to nurture a proactive safety culture through engagement programs, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, both locally and globally.
  • Conducting various assessments, audits, trainings, root cause analyses, and reports related to QHSE programs and policies, while ensuring compliance with all legal and customer requirements.
  • Providing expert advice on health, industrial hygiene, risk assessments, and change management processes at designated locations.
  • Assisting the Head of HSE in maintaining ISO certifications and completing internal audits to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and OSHA standards.
  • Leading and driving accountability through influence while executing projects, programs, and managing changes.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Certification in relevant HSE disciplines (e.g., CSP, GSP, CIH, CHMM) is preferred.
  • Solid grasp of ISO 9001 requirements; experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is highly valued.
  • Proficient in incident investigation techniques, including root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to GEA North America Service sites.
  • Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and practices in manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and allocate training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and employee competency.
  • Capable of sitting for up to 8 hours per day and operating a computer keyboard with sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Assertive self-starter with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
