As a Subrogation Claims Representative you'll be a vital part of our mission to recover funds from parties responsible for losses sustained by our insureds. Join our dynamic team and contribute to maximizing recoveries through effective claims presentation and negotiation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Dive into automobile liability cases for multiple states within the Northeast region of the country, identifying all liable parties.
- Initiate contact with responsible claimants and insurance carriers, ensuring timely and efficient recoveries.
- Present and articulate our theory of liability to an adverse party or arbitration panel, showcasing your negotiation skills.
- Negotiate settlements with adverse carrier representatives, attorneys, or claimants.
- Craft written drafts of arbitration contentions, passionately arguing liability and skillfully disputing reductions to submitted demands.
- Work towards earning certification to become an arbitration panelist.
- Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory claims handling guidelines and statutory regulations.
- Adhere to departmental internal control requirements and actively participate in team activities to achieve local objectives.
- Attend internal and external training events, staying updated on industry trends.
Qualifications and Education
- Possess an Associate s or Bachelor s Degree and/or has 3-5 years of claims experience in Subrogation, Casualty, PIP, or Physical Damage.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and negotiation skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and adept at conflict resolution.
