We are helping an Automotive Supplier to find a Buyer to join their team.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for timely sourcing of materials and services.
- Collaborate with project managers to align procurement plans with timelines and budgets.
- Conduct market research to evaluate prospective vendors for quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
- Broaden the scope of quote requests to maximize potential savings, enhance delivery, and ensure exceptional quality.
- Manage purchase orders and track deliveries for timely receipt of materials.
- Foster strong supplier relationships and negotiate favorable contract terms.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of purchasing experience within the manufacturing industry
- Proven experience sourcing & identifying potential suppliers, as well as facilitating RFQs, and managing the vendor selection process
- Proven negotiation skills and vendor relationship management expertise.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Occasional travel to suppliers required.
