A global renewable energy/solar energy company in the Houston, TX area is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their organization. The Business Development Manager will support the Renewable Energy Division, especially for the business development of new utility-scale renewable energy generation projects from the project identification stage through financial closing and start of construction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the identification of prospective utility-scale renewable energy projects that possess suitable electric transmission access and site characteristics.
- Establish and maintain relationships with market participants, including developers and independent power producers (IPPs), to identify potential projects.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling for the projects.
- Monitor and analyze power market dynamics and relevant regulatory discussions.
- Manage the financing strategy for projects, including tax equity arrangements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of business development experience
- Experience of transactions for finance arrangement for renewable energy project
- Knowledge and experience with tax equity, project finance, etc.
