Job Details
We are seeking a Procurement Leader to focus on the Raw Materials category who will guide the team with a deep understanding and experience of sourcing and spend management processes and methodology and the ability to enact the sourcing process with cross functional teams.
- Developing sourcing strategies.
- Optimize All Raw Materials Spend (Category Strategies, Analysis, Negotiation, Risk Assessments, Sourcing, Innovation, etc.)
- Strategic Supplier Management
- Organizing and facilitating category teams.
- Understanding and coordinating participant and stakeholder requirements.
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Negotiating, awarding, and executing contracts.
- Managing the successful implementation at affected facilities.
- Establishing continuous improvement processes to maximize the value of these contracts as it relates to raw materials.
- Tracking supply markets and managing key supplier relationships.
- Has responsibility to pre-qualify potential suppliers, insure ongoing viability/qualification of existing suppliers.
- Participates in supplier audits including when / who should be audited.
- Represents raw material procurement on Business Unit Lead Team
- Manages the activities and performance of raw material procurement analysts
- Identifying key tools, technologies, and services to improve value
- Manages strategic raw material supplier relationships.
- Secures and analyzes raw material quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to quality, service, innovation and cost competitiveness.
- Manages raw material supply agreement development and implementation processes.
Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree required.
- Minimum of 7 years of related work experience - preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including Analytics and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
