Job Details
Work for a Manufacturer in Middlesex County as a Chemical Process Engineer:
Calculation of heat and material balances for chemical processes including flow sheets that cover multiple steps and multiple operations.
Designing and analyzing both batch and continuous operations including confirming feasibility, optimization and economic analysis.
Development of process flow sheets, P&ID"s, equipment specifications, instrument specifications and operating instructions.
Equipment bid reviews, cost estimating and cost control.
Interfacing with a development laboratory and making a contribution in the design of experiments and converting laboratory data into process designs.
Presenting and defending designs both within the organization and before clients.
Pre-commissioning inspection, commissioning, start up, analysis of field data and using field data to develop process improvements.
Sales support including assisting in proposal preparation, preliminary designs, cost estimates and client presentations.
Job Requirements
-5 years of experience in design and development of industrial processing equipment
-BS in Chemical Engineering (MS preferred)
-Experience in Petro-Chemicals/Engineering
-Experience with Piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID's)
-Experience with Process Flow Diagrams
-Sizing and Spec equipment
