Description of Work

Performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled work tasks in the maintenance and beautification of Norwalk's beaches and recreational areas; cleans, stocks and monitors public restrooms, pickup site litter and trash, and performs other related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This class is distinguished by the performance of a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks in the overall maintenance and beautification of parks or recreational grounds including the structures therein. Assists full time staff in the maintenance and cleaning of park facilities including buildings, restrooms, pavilions, comfort stations, shelters, bleachers, water fountains, fences, picnic tables and benches, parking facilities and other recreational equipment and structures

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in manual labor and semi-skilled tasks involving the care, maintenance and beautification of landscaped areas and public buildings. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Starting Pay $17.00 per hour.
